Orientation activities and tutoring

Tutoring is one of the key aspects of the training program at the Rui Foundation, contributing to the professional and personal development of new residents.

The support provided by a senior student from the same faculty (or a similar one) to a freshman constitutes a valuable aid in dealing with the critical transition from high school to university. Learning from an older student, from a friend, allows newcomers to develop a more conscious study method, gather useful tools for organizing exam sessions, and receive support in learning new subjects.

Coaching

Personalized training is a fundamental feature of the Rui Foundation residences, and the coaching project fits into this context as an opportunity for dialogue and growth.

Being guided in their new and far-from-home life by an adult professional engaged in the residence direction provides residents with a valuable opportunity: it allows them to work on change management, engage in open and ongoing dialogue to better understand themselves, and develop strategies and goals that make them protagonists of their life project.

Soft skills development

More and more often, the ever-evolving job market does not limit itself to seeking “hard” skills learned during academic preparation in a potential candidate, but favors those who are able to expand and develop so-called “soft skills.”

These skills allow one to manage complex situations in diverse fields, solve problems, and maintain a flexible mindset.

The JUMP (Job-University Matching Project) works in this direction with residents, offering courses for the development of soft skills such as public speaking, teamwork, leadership, the analysis of case studies, and so on.

Testimonies from the professional world

Living in a residence helps university students to view their professional and social future with attentive and conscious eyes.

During their university years, it is important to build a strong connection with the job market and expand personal interests and culture.

In the residence, meetings are frequently organized with professionals and notable personalities who share their life and work experiences in an informal atmosphere of exchange and enrichment. Rivalto is a place where, every year, science, technology, art, music, current affairs, and professions come together through the voices of their protagonists.

Community and international environment

Rivalto promotes the value of internationalization: it hosts students from various countries, encourages intercultural exchange, and organizes educational activities and initiatives abroad.

Like all RUI residences, Rivalto is also a member of Euca (European University College Association), a network of European colleges that organizes various international mobility activities, such as seminars, summer schools, and study visits to the headquarters of major companies.
