JUMP Job-University Matching Project

The JUMP (Job-University Matching Project) is an educational initiative offered in the residence that aims to expand students’ cultural background through interdisciplinary courses and soft skills training. This equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary to guide their academic and professional future.

JUMP serves as a bridge between academia and the job market, connecting students with companies and allowing them to work alongside top professionals in various fields. It aids in acquiring the sought-after skills in today’s job market and fosters a healthy curiosity to better understand the dynamics of the world we live in.

Through lectures, workshops, group projects, case studies, company visits, and volunteer activities, JUMP is essential in the training program designed for resident students. It is a comprehensive personal project that supports their growth and self-discovery. JUMP is endorsed by the Polytechnic University of Milan, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and Campus Bio-Medico.

Soft skills

Soft skills are the transversal competencies sought by companies and desired by professionals, essential for completing one’s education and performing well at work.

These include skills such as public speaking, leadership, teamwork, and social intelligence. The development of these “abilities” is practically expressed in the capacity to face and manage complex situations that frequently arise in everyday social and professional life.

JUMP, through its soft skills program, enables the enhancement of these competencies through practical cases, group work, and guided discussions.

Interdisciplinary Training

To be a valuable professional, it is important to acquire a well-rounded education. Technical skills alone are not enough.

For this reason, JUMP offers, with a practical approach through case studies and participatory lessons, an agile and transversal pathway that covers ethics, anthropology, major contemporary issues, politics and economics, serving as a useful integration to one’s academic profile.

Personal development

Everyone is meant to identify and work on their own human and professional calling. For this reason, personalized guidance is essential and characteristic at Rivalto.

The Direction team helps residents to analyze their potential in order to navigate the university world, discover and develop their talents.

From the self-assessment questionnaire of competencies completed by each resident every academic year, a personal pathway emerges to enhance their strengths and improve their weaknesses.

Subsequently, with the support of an adult and external perspective through coaching, residents can become more and more aware of their potential and can work on improving it.
